Eptakey team carries out due diligence activities on a daily basis through the use of specific third-party research tools, open sources and databases.
The activity is aimed at permitting the Client to make an informed choice, in the context of a business relationship.
In particular, due diligence involves the following steps:
- assigning a risk level to the third party based on objective and subjective criteria;
- identifying the management, shareholders, and other relevant individuals associated with the third party;
- identifying any red flags relating the presence of relevant names within the international lists, using specific tools;
- conducting open-source research to identify any ethical and reputational criticalities;
- carefully assessing any red flags that might arise during the verification process to ensure compliance and avoid possible sanctions;
- drafting a final report that includes the investigation results and any recommended actions to mitigate potential red flags.
All the above activities, can be varied according to the different compliance needs of the Client (e.g. anti-money laundering, cyber, anti-corruption, reputational) or an all-encompassing approach can be adopted (enhanced integrated compliance due diligence).
